Village Friends

Village friends are networks of  people who want to support people in their local communities to be connected and to live well. Through regular social meetings and  other support activities such as social car and help with tasks they want to create friendly and connected villages for everyone who lives in them.

Village Friends are supported by Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service, Maldon District Council and the Diocese of Chelmsford. are purpose is to provide publicity and support for volunteers who wish to run, or are running, informal meetings for older and more rurally isolated people to socialise, make friends and connect.

The 4T’s 

Activities taking place across the villages of Tollesbury, Tolleshunt Knights, Tolleshunt Major and Tolleshunt D’arcy. Events for Tolleshunt Knights residents are held at the New Times Pub in Tiptree.

Dengie Friends

Activities take place across the Dengie Peninsula in the villages of Althorne, Bradwell on Sea, Cold Norton, Latchingdon, Mayland and Steeple.
