Do you want to make a real difference to the wider Voluntary and Community Sector? Could you help guide and develop the main infrastructure organisation in the Maldon and District area?
Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service (M&DCVS) is a voluntary sector organisation that provides support to local charities and community groups. This support includes providing information to groups on funding, policy writing, affordable training, promotion and legal updates. We also run a number of services and projects including the Volunteer Centre, Community Engagement and the Essex Shed Network
The main M&DCVS board meets bi-monthly with sub committees set up when needed to monitor specific projects or dedicated pieces of work. New
trustees are encouraged to communicate regularly with existing trustees to understand the organisation and its work in the community.
There are currently six trustees providing a fairly diverse board offering a good range of skills but always welcome new trustees with skills in Financial Management, Legal Matters, Fundraising, Recruitment & Personnel, Marketing, IT, Campaigning and Education.
Potential Trustees with skills in legal matters, Personnel, Finance and Fundraising would be of particular interest.
Trustees will be asked to attend an informal interview and supply two references. An induction is given and appropriate training is also offered.
To apply as a trustee complete the below forms and return to M&DCVS Director Sarah Troop
