Maldon and District CVS are pleased to offer training to local organisations, businesses, volunteers and the wider public on topics that help them to connect with people around them and to make positive behaviour changes.

Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health is an internationally recognised and accredited training course delivered fully qualified MHFA instructors. The aim is to give you the knowledge, skills and understanding to identify symptoms and support yourself and others experiencing mental health problems.

Over a two day course you will learn about, discuss and take part in group and individual activities covering:

Course run over 2 days and participants must attend both sessions and cost £25

Alternatively we can offer a half day beginner or refresher session for free.

Make Every Contact Count

Making Every Contact Count provides individuals with skills to support people they come into contact with in day to day activity to make positive changes to their physical and mental wellbeing.

Making changes such as stopping smoking, improving diet, increasing physical activity, losing weight and reducing alcohol consumption can help people to reduce their risk of poor health significantly.
Help people to make a change!

This short workshop will give you an understanding of Make Every Contact Count and will also include a simple screening tool you can use to help people identify if they may be at risk of falls.
