Maldon and District CVS is pleased to have signed up to the Sensory Action Alliance in Essex by creating a Sensory Action Pledge. Our pledge includes ensuring that we have trained sensory champions within our staff team and developing a Accessible communications policy for our updates and information service.
MDCVS Director Sarah Troop said “sensory impairment affects large numbers of people in our community and it play an important role in the risk of people becoming socially isolated and lonely. We want to ensure that as far as possible as an organisation we are enabling everyone to be part of the community and to access information. Theses pledges enable us to take some steps towards that goal”
In her role as co-Chair of the Essex Alliance Mrs Troop has also ensured the the Essex Alliance has created pledges to widen awareness of sensory issues throughout the Essex VCS Community.
