The Network of Essex CVS’s and Volunteer Centres are pleased to share their Coronavirus Impact report showcasing the role that local voluntary sector infrastructure played in community hub responses across the County.
Over 2000 volunteers support the efforts of the CVS and Volunteer Centres across the County carrying out over 100,000 tasks for some of the most vulnerable in our communities.
Sarah Troop, Chair of Volunteer Essex said “There is so much expertise in supporting volunteers and voluntary action within the networks that really came to the fore during the summer lockdown. The members of Volunteer Essex responded swiftly and professionally to ensure help got those who most needed it whilst ensuring that volunteers were supported, safe and informed. There is much to be proud of”
