Cyber Security Training

5 December 2018

Date: 27 February 2019
Time: 1:00 PM  to  2:30 PM

In todays technological world we rely on the internet to buy & sell; to contact our customers, family & friends and use it for logistical support. However with all the opportunity it brings, it is important to remember the risks. There are criminals who will take advantage of the anonymity of the online world and deceive, hack and steal if the opportunity arises.

This doesn’t mean we should not use the internet but by implementing a few basic security processes and making yourself aware of the threats, you can make a significant difference to your chances of becoming a victim. This presentation aims to identify common types of cybercrime and ways you can help protect your and your charity from them.

This presentation covers why you or your charity might be a target for cyber criminals & what they want to steal from you and how by doing the basics will help to protect your email, your data and your personal identity. It covers the threat from Phishing emails, weak Passwords, Open WiFi and back-ups
