Digital Buddies

Maldon and District CVS have teamed up with the Moat Foundation to support people in the Maldon District to get online!

Learning digital skills can open a whole range of opportunities and enable access to services but you may need a little bit of help to take the first step to feel confident.

Get online
Learn My Way is a great online platform teaching everything from basic computer skills to managing money, accessing services or looking for employment online.

If you already have some basic skills but would like improve register here to begin learning using our online centres code 8004171.

If you would like some help to get started the MOAT foundation are offering drop in IT sessions from their Community Hub in Fullbridge. Find more information here or call Nicola on 0845 359 6549

Alternatively we are working to recruit a team of Digital Friends across the Maldon District who will be able to help you on a one to one basis in a community setting. If you would prefer this please contact us on 01621 851891 and we will see if we can help!

Become a Digital Friend
If you are already confident in computers and IT and would be interested in helping other people you can become a community Digital Friend. Apply to join us at one of our formal IT drop in sessions by emailing volunteering@maldoncvs.org.uk or calling Linda on 01621 851891

Alternatively you can visit the Learn My Way Website and register to “Get Others Online” using our Online Network Centres Code 8004171. Complete the tutor course and we can give you tutor access to content to support people to learn.

You can then let us know that you are trained and available to help people in the community, perhaps we can arrange for you to visit community groups or events to help people to learn or you can simply use the online tools to help your own friends, family and neighbours!
